This is a story about older people. People who have fallen in love, married and then lost that love, through a mismatch, illness or death. But loss it turns out is the great life leveller.
CHARACTERS
BETH: Nice Looking woman in her late 50’s. She owns a florist shop. Beth has an artistic flair and is dressed as such. She is educated, articulate and hopeful.
DOUGLAS: Rough diamond in his late 50’s. He is weathered and handsome in his own way. He is dressed in a mismatch of clothing. He is in a wheelchair. He has rapidly progressive dementia (RPD). His wheelchair represents his current reality.
WHITTAKER: A distinguished professional man in his late 50’s. He dresses well, wearing a nice watch and shoes. Whittaker is a psychiatrist. He is compassionate and wise.
